Disneyland Munich Park: An Introduction

Disneyland Munich is the original park in the resort. With its beautiful design and attention to detail, this is the most visually engaging park yet. This resort is a mix between Disneyland Paris and a new castle park, offering the best of both real and fictional parks. While it continues the traditions of its predecessor parks, it also forgoes a few in a way to make it authentic to the region.

As seen on the map, this park is split into seven areas. After going past the Disneyland Hotel, guests find themselves in Main Street, U.S.A., an American Midwestern town at the turn of the 20th Century, inspired by Walt Disney's hometown of Marceline, Missouri. This version of it, however, puts a little more emphasis on the German influence on American culture. It leads down to the hub, where guests branch off into the five "lands" of the park.

Going clockwise around the park, the first area we come to is Westernland, the park's version of Frontierland. This area has more of a Western theme and has an elaborate backstory surrounding a German-American outlaw named Black-Eye Bill and an alleged curse on the mining town of Thunder Mesa. North from that is Adventureland, an exotic place where guests travel through Africa, Asia, Mesoamerica, and the Caribbean. Next to that is Fantasyland, which combines the fairytales of Europe with real-life locations in the region. It is marked by Snow White's Castle, the icon of the park.

In the eastern region of the park are several Science Fiction areas. Discoveryland focuses on the ideas of European visionaries, from early Science Fiction authors to German scientists. Behind that is Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which is a little different from its American counterparts but still offers an immersive experience. Last but not least, Possibilityland is the park's version of Tomorrowland, focusing on today's ideas of the future with a fusion of science and Science Fiction.

Each area of this park will be gone into further detail later on.
