Fantasyland: Attractions (Part 3)

37 - Fantasia Maze
Located near the edge of the Salzburg-style town, this is where guests can travel through a hedge maze themed to the music of Fantasia. There are five sections, each with their own score and theme, and each with a bridge so guests can see where they're going.

These are the sections in order:
  • Nutcrcker Suite Maze
  • Sorcerer's Apprentice Maze
  • Dance of the Hours Maze
  • Rite of Spring Maze
  • Ave Maria Maze
38 - "It's a Small World"
Join the happiest cruise that ever sailed the world.

QUEUE:
This version of the ride is housed in an Austrian-style building. However, there is an indoor area with the classic facade, like the Magic Kingdom. The storybook-inspired facade, however, is modeled after the one in Paris, more colorful and elaborate. Guests go down to get on their boat and begin their voyage.

RIDE EXPERIENCE:
Like the Florida and France versions of the ride, this does not feature characters. However, this does feature fun touches every here and there to accompany the singing children.

When the boats enter the ride, the first section they pass through is a European one. It starts out with the British Isles, then the Iberian peninsula. It goes through west and central Europe before going to Italy, and then through Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the Southeastern area.

Next up is Asia. It starts by going through the Middle East, then Central and South Asia. From there, they go through Southeast Asia and then East Asia.

After that is Africa. They begin in North Africa before going to the west. It then goes to East Africa, Central Africa, and Southern Africa.

Then, they go to Latin America. They start in Mexico, then they go into Central America. After going through the Caribbean, they go through South America.

Second to last is a journey through Oceania. They begin with Australia before going into Polynesia, Micronesia, and Antarctica.

The final scene features dolls from all over the world in a white amusement park setting. After this, they return to the front of the facade and leave their vehicles.
39 - Mickey's PhilharMagic
Watch a magical 3-D show starring several Disney characters.

QUEUE:
The exterior is supposed to look like the Landestheater in Salzburg, Austria. The interior is done in Romantic style and contains several paintings of Disney characters. Guests will be taken from the lobby and into a small pre-show room, where they will receive "opera glasses." From there, they wait.

After being welcomed by Minnie, they will go into the theater, which resembles the interior of the Landestheater minus the second floor. From here, they will sit on the red-cushion chairs and wait for the show to begin.

SHOW EXPERIENCE:
Minnie will announce the show and Mickey will go to get things ready.......but there's one problem. The PhilharMagic orchestra is nowhere to be seen. As the curtains raise to reveal a bunch of musical instruments, Donald is seen sleeping in a bucket. Mickey wakes him up and asks him to take over while he investigates what happened. Although he warns him not to put on his sorcerer's hat, Donald instantly disobeys as soon as Mickey has left the room. He uses the magic to make the instruments play themselves, but it is out of tune. Annoyed by this, Donald starts to hit them. As a consequence, the instruments attack him and suck him into a vortex.

Unlike most variations of the show, this has randomized sequences based on many films. Smells, air, and water come in to further immerse guests in these environments.

Part 1: Donald lands in the dark and discovers something.
  • "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast
  • "Friend like Me" from Aladdin
  • "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid
Part 2: After brooms spray the guest with water, Donald is seen somewhere else.
  • "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid
  • "Let it Go" from Frozen
  • "Go the Distance" from Hercules
Part 3: A circle will become something else, transitioning the scene.
  • "I Just Can't Wait to be King" from The Lion King
  • "You're Welcome" from Moana
  • "Almost There" from The Princess and the Frog
Part 4: Donald will appear somewhere and something will happen.
  • "You Can Fly" from Peter Pan
  • "Un Poco Loco" from Coco
  • "Into the Unknown" from Frozen II
Part 5: Donald will witness a romantic moment, where he finally regains the hat.
  • "A Whole New World" from Aladdin
  • "I See the Light" from Tangled
  • "Beauty and the Beast" from Beauty and the Beast
When the hat is stolen again (either by Lago, the Croc, or the brooms), Donald is swept back up into the whirlwind. Luckily, Mickey gains the hat and saves the concert, although Donald is trapped in a tuba. During the big finish where the music crescendos, Donald is shot out of the tuba and into the crowd. After the curtains close, guests can see Donald stuck in the wall behind them. After the show, guests will leave the theater, dispose of their glasses and enter a gift shop called Musical Merchandise.
40 - The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
Relive the timeless tale in a trackless dark ride.

QUEUE:
Located in the forests of the French village is a recreation of the Beast's castle. Guests go over the bridge and in through the front doors. From there, they pass through several rooms, including the foyer, the kitchen, a living room, and a hall in which the Beast's shadow is seen. They may also pass by Lumiere and Cogsworth, who occasionally come to life and wonder if any of the guests are "the one."

Eventually, the guests will arrive at the loading station, where they board a six-person "teacup." Three vehicles move through the ride at a time.

RIDE EXPERIENCE:
After the guests have boarded their vehicles, they will move out of the room and into a dungeon. Here, Lumiere frees Belle from her cell and invites her to come along to dinner. The vehicles then go into a dining hall, where Belle is sitting in a chair while the enchanted servants preform "Be Our Guest" in the middle of it.

After passing by an angered Beast, the cups go out into the forest. There, they see Belle cornered by wolves, but the Beast saves her. The cups go back into the castle, where they move through a library, Belle and the Beast looking at the books. They go through a courtyard, where "Something There" is sung.

Then, they go through the ballroom, where Belle and the Beast dance. Meanwhile, Mrs. Potts and Chip are on a table, singing "Beauty and the Beast." They then pass through a hall where humans are attacking. The furniture strikes back, hitting them. Cogsworth pokes LeFou in the back while he has Lumiere cornered.

The cups then go through a stormy scene where the Beast and Gaston are dueling on the rooftops. They enter the West Wing, where they see Gaston's shadow fall out the window. There, they see a wounded Beast and Belle lying besides him. Just as the last petal of the rose falls, she confesses that he loves him. Just then, the dark room lights up, and a pepper's ghost effect makes the Beast transform into a human.

The final scene of the ride features a reprise of "Beauty and the Beast," where the human servants are watching Belle and her prince dance. As the music ends, the cups head to the unloading station and the guests get off, taking a secret passageway into the French village.
